The man was an MD for fuck's sake! MJ was doing tons of drugs and that is why he kept a doctor on the payroll. MJ probably "self-medicated" and then asked the doctor for more (without the doctor knowing) and that is why he overdosed.

The sad thing is ALL the people who were around him/supposedly loved him and did nothing about his 14 year drug addiction/abuse!
