on Hillary, Secretary Of State??? at 06:22 11/15/2008I think Hillary will work hard to be excellent at whatever job she has. I think she'd be a great Sec. of State.

on So.... at 12:43 10/08/2008I thought that this debate had the most substance of the three that have happened so far (including the Biden/Palin debate). I also thought that, objectively, Obama won. He hit some of the personal notes (like talking about his mom's cancer/insurance struggle) and showed a thorough, detailed understanding of issues - didn't seem "canned" at all. McCain seemed really nervous, desperate even, which didn't help his answers - he seemed less like a problem solver.

on Quote Of The Day at 13:49 10/03/2008 as a reply on the comment by PLainJane82I totally agree! McCain spouted off to Fox News about his opposition to Gwen Ifill, which was a successful tactic because she went totally easy on Sarah Palin in order to emphasize that she's not "biased." I think she would've been a much tougher moderator to both Biden and Palin if there hadn't been a conservative hubbub about her supposed "bias."

on Believers for Barack???? at 14:37 09/16/2008Also, I think there are a lot of Catholics, evangelicals, and others who realize that protecting life doesn't just include the unborn, but - importantly! - the already born! So poverty, war, abuse, discrimination, education, environmental destruction, etc. are also important issues to people of faith.

on Believers for Barack???? at 14:34 09/16/2008I think it's great. I'm a believer and I'm for Barack. There are bigger things to discuss in the world today than abortion and homosexuality. Roe v. Wade is never going to be overturned, and gay marriage is on the horizon. Republicans have had a monopoly on the "religious vote" for too long. God's not a Republican or a Democrat.
