Why is it a bummer that his new film is getting awful reviews? That fat tub of lard has never come out with anything I'd consider halfway decent: he disguises entertainment and falsifications as truth all the while proclaiming to be some kind of visionary. Oh, and I find it ironic that he's come out with a "documentary" extolling the evils of capitalism when it is in fact capitalism that has enabled him to make millions of dollars on his films! Hypocrite.

on District 9 Already Set For Sequel? at 11:51 08/18/2009

I saw District 9 and loved it, but I don't think there should be a sequel. I think it was a perfect, self-contained story that was not so much about the aliens or their weapons, but about a man and his decisions. It was almost like a fairy tale (the original un-Disneyized kind of scary fairy tale), and even though a sequel would be cool because we'd get to find out what happens after the fact, I think the story was just too good for one. Not everything has to have a sequel!

Of course GM waited to file for bankruptcy until AFTER it received a ton of government bailout money. I'm so happy that this is what happened to my tax dollars.
