there are no innocent parties involved here when it comes to attention seeking. carrie is getting attention for fighting for what she believes in, albeit ignoring her responsibilities and the rule guidelines as miss. california. mario is getting attention for fighting for what he believes in...and homing in on miss. california because...shit...she's giving him ammunition to do so. and if helps his fight...why not? equality is the issue here and if the dirt's there for the digging to help fight the cause...dig away! that woman is an idiot...stick to the issue...this isn't a personal vandetta.
not to place judgement here, but if my child came home continuously complaining of being bullied and then one day told me not to bother because it wouldn't stop anyway, i would still kick some serious ass until i saw some results. at the very least, i would have removed my child from that school.
it's unfortunate that some children are not able to "survive" the bullying. i am a bully survivor, but it could have gone the other way. i remember thinking, not that the world would do better without me, but that i would do better without the world. my mother told me that God built me strong to withstand hardships like that one. but not all children have that thick skin to be able to overcome. they don't understand that there's life after grade school...or they think that life after school just gets worse...not better. all they see is the present...not the future.
my heart breaks for this boy and for all other children out there that have to suffer needlessly at the hands of other children who clearly were not raised to be accepting, non-judgemental...and compassionate families. ignorance breeds hate...and this hate ruins lives.
personally, i feel that every child that bullied this young boy where ultimately he felt he had no other alternative but to take his own life, should be held responsible! round 'em up and take them to the morgue to see the aftermath of their cruelty.
