typical of this website... 2 comments... no one knows who that is and no one cares despite his Nobel prize and all other awards... this is even more sad than the fact that harold pinter died! i am Russian, and I know who he is and what he has written, unlike most of the readers of this blog, what a shame!!
Perez, you're such a queen of overreaction!!! There is absolutely nothing more disgusting to read about, than your nasty comments of somebody having skin or lung cancer within a month, because they've been smoking or sunbathing or whatever... that's harassment from your side! Sunbathing is the most natural thing in the world, nowadays it has become slightly risky, so people need to use sunscreen. And you need to stop judging everyone so heavily!
I'm Russian and it's a shame to find this out... So far Russians had quite a taste for good movies, you just have to see how incredibly well good European movies are doing in Russian theaters.
Although I have to agree with your last line, the translations for foreign movies are often much better than the original. I know a Hungarian cartoon which was awesomely funny already, but its Russian dubbing was done by famous comedy stars and singers, giving some parody hints to things strictly Russian and became such a hit, Hungarian authors wouldn't even dream of.
Hopefully this was a case of something like that... otherwise I am deeply ashamed!
