This dress is from Balmain's Spring Summer 2009 collection, a collection which sold out at Bergdorf Goodman and February! Balmain is one of the most influential and copied brands around. You know all those broad-shoulder blazers Rihanna dons? Those are Balmain, and designers all over the world have created their own version of the blazer. Also, Balmain has been showing 80s themed collections for several seasons now, and 80s revival is a huge trend for fall!Further, this dress is definately not cute for prom, it costs upwards of ten thosand dollars!
