Ah Coachella! I live out in that general area. Its hotter than hell that time of year! Its on the polo grounds...no shade...no anything. Ugh! Its fun though! Back when it first started the tickets were super cheap. The whole weekend was about $100....now...im afraid to even check!

My best friends husband works at the Chrysler truck plant in Warren, MI. They are generally always down for 2 weeks....tentatively. For the past 4 years they have been off for well over a month. However, they do not struggle. Yes it sucks they cant work...but they receive unemployment for the entire time they are laid off. Then the company makes up the difference. So lets say he makes $1100 a week....and unemployment pays him $600....Chrysler makes up the difference and send him a $500 check. So they don't really struggle. I mean it does take a week or so for it all to kick in. I feel bad for my best friends family....but I dont understand how a company can pay their employees for not working....and then wonder why they are struggling. Boggles the brain !!
