on A Very Important Message at 15:49 03/22/2009Get regular pap tests AND always wear a condom. I had the beginning of cervical cancer and caught it in time. Had a LEEP procedure and go for regular checkups. Most cases of cervical cancer are caused by the HPV virus, a REALLY common STD (more than 80% women have gotten it at some time or another--it's the same STD that causes genital warts.) There are a few different types of HPV, and 4 strains of it cause cervical cancer. If untreated, it will lead to death 100% of the time. I got it when I was 23 years old and was Very very lucky I stayed on top it. You can get it at any age. Ladies, do the same.
