Thanks for writing one of the few thoughtful comments about this post. I applaud Perez for posting this ad to help raise awareness about violence against women everywhere - in Canada AND the US, and wherever women are being abused. It's too bad people aren't getting the message that it's about the issue and are instead focusing on how it's a Canadian campaign. It happens to be run by The Canadian Women's Foundation - Canada's only public foundation devoted to women and girls. And yes, the Foundation only operates in Canada and funds Canadian programs, but I'm sure there are similar organizations in the US. If you feel strongly about the cause then take the time to research charities in your area that address women's causes.On another note, I'm shocked and appalled by the misogynist posts about this ad. All of the horrific comments about women deserving violence are absolutely sick. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. I try to not be anti-American but these comments make it tough…
