I was there last night... And i rushed home to see the VMAs.

But, from what I hear, Albert said that it would take at least 6 months to move the rides out of the park, so if the lease wasn't going to be extended, then she'd need all the time possible to sell the rides and vacate the property.

But it was TRULY a sad day for Brooklyn. Coney Island is an unofficial national landmark.

I saw this a few months ago at the Murakami exhibit at The Brooklyn Museum. Hopefully the Murakami exhibit will tour the country.
