If a woman came out of an emotionally abusive relationship with a controlling, manipulative spouse, and acted like an immature idiot, we'd cut her some slack. Because he's a guy, all of that is overlooked and Jon gets no grace period for acting out and assholery. Give him some time to get his head on straight again, and hopefully get some therapy to cope with years of denigration and abuse, and then we'll see what kind of man he really is.

The ex was already an ex when this new relationship started, and their marriage has nothing to do with her.
