You have it right.If you are a member of the Roman Catholic Church you do NOT believe in abortion. If you do believe in abortion and do think abortion is okay, then you are not a Catholic because you do not agree with the pope. So in a way, this priest is doing the right thing by helping the people in his church to stay on the path that they are choosing by being catholic. He has every right. However, the church does not support any individual candidate so he should not say "if they voted for Obama." He should be saying if they voted for a "pro abortion candidate."But anyways, stop bashing Catholics just for having morals and believing that abortion and sex before marriage is a sin. they have the right. and that priest has the right to punish the people of his parish for going against the church's teaching. sure, they have the right to vote for obama, but if they exercise that right, they are NOT roman catholics.
