I guess that means you're feeling self conscious about your intelligence Megan. Don't take this out on other people. No one assumed you were dumb but now they do along with assuming you're jealous, and lack being a proper lady because you called out someone who happens to enjoy describing things. Don't worry, Scarlett with be magnanimous about this.
Meow P. I will admit that something has to be up for them to have only sold half of what the previous one did. Recession is something but it isn't enough.
It is time to respect your well documented opinion that this album sucks. No line is very "experimental" so I can see why there would be initial gripes. If you look at the two previous U2 albums, they were very straightforward rock albums surely made up of whatever their best songs at the time were (this isn't meant negatively and while those albums did have central themes, many of the songs in them deviated from it). No line is completely an art piece which is something they used to do a lot, lastly done on "Pop'. The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts here and the theme is about Natural Awe that leads to Indulgent Awe that leads to Redemption. You can call me a dork for the break down but it's all quite elementary to me watson. I'm not calling myself sherlock but I am calling this album a good instrument for wrecked celebrities to get sober.
By the way has Rolling Stone ever given a U2 album a 5 star review? Well they did it in 1987 for the Joshua Tree. Oh yea and that's right, they did it again this week for No Line On the Horizon. I'm definitely not saying this album beats Joshua but I am saying that this album is quite good.
