What people don't understand is that if companies like Ford or GE go out of business, it would be horrible for our country and our economy. GE is one of the largest companies in the world, the thousands of jobs that would be lost as a result of the company folding, would increase our unemployment rate, increase the number of people on government assistance, increase foreclosure rates which in turn would decrease property values...and the list goes on and on. Not to mention all of the vendors and other companies that support this industry that would also suffer and lose jobs (advertising firms, accounting firms, steel producers, engineers, etc.) Its all connected. If they lose, we ALL lose!
