yeh, i never got that: the church on one side of the street doesn't want me because i'm gay and a sinner, and the church on the other side embraces me saying i'm not a sinner - both are reading from the same book and pray to the same god ... strange!?! not really, they just cherry-pick the phrases they wanna believe in - THEY determine what's good and bad (not god) ... just like a colleague of mine who skips over, denounces and discredits any article in scientific journals that contradict his beliefs, yet devours everything else ...
Cotton, your defense to rational arguments is insult ... it's a common trade amongst us and one reason why America is in such bad shape ... also: look up "Russell's teapot" - insert "God".
The USA are not so great, Cotton ... really, not great at all. Most americans think so, the world thinks so; self-proclaimed greatness just doesn't last forever. I know, I know - hard to swallow and that's why you're so angry.
thanks, cotton. i disagree. I don't have an imaginary friend and i don't want to convert people who do, but i do speak my mind and point out what's potentially wrong with their view ... yet, i wouldn't describe my stance as "religious".
personal belief systems don't belong in schools ... science is not a personal belief system, therefore it's taught in schools. scientology, christianity, islam and others are all intelligently designed and aren't science hence aren't taught in school.
If you want to bring your fucking kids, pay for it YOURSELF !!!
