Sales have gone so far downhill for every artist this decade. There was only like a 10,000 copy difference between the three albums anyway, and this exceeds the margin of error for soundscan.

At least Mariah, unlike Streisand and Paramore, can still have a top 10 single. And as for the Whitney comparisons, I'm sure Mariah would sell 350,000 in her first week if she didn't release any material for 7 years too. Hell, even E=MC2 outsold I Look to You!

She sounded just as awful as she did at that tragic grammy pre-show performance of 2008. The only difference is that this time around, she tried having backup singers cover her labored vocals (albeit unsuccessfully). Her voice has dropped almost half an octave and she's lost most of her top end.

I should have suspected this judging by her new album, on which she sounds shit even with the help of pitch correction and smoothing techniques. If I didn't know better, I'd guess that I was listening to an 80 year old diva of the past.

I'm very confident that Mariah is going to outsell her.
