HOWEVER, As an actress myself, it wouldn't be right for the actor to partake in something he was uncomfortable with. It's a personal comfort issue. I'm sure he has nothing against gay people, but if he is uncomfortable with what the directors and writers are asking, then he should not be forced to do it.
