I dont know the situation in Malawi but I do know that during the Korean War, families would leave their children at orphanages because the children would get better care there than with their families. The orphanages knew the children had parents and would care for them until their family's situation improved, at which time the parents would return for their parents. Yes, Madonna can give untold luxury to baby Mercy, but is it really better than the love of her family? Would you abandon your child/parents if there was money involved? I applaud the judge's ruling and the decision of the baby's father.
