....I find it despicable that on my income I am expected to pay for others who REFUSE to try and get a job because it's just easier to let someone else take care of them. It's not that people can't find jobs, they just don't like the jobs offered. Do you know how many retail, grocery and restaurants I go into that have signs saying "Now hiring"? Tons. Just because you lost a 70K a year job and can't get another one doesn't mean there ISN'T work out there.
And, another thing... Government health care? Yeah... take all the choice out of which doctor you are able to see. Make pay rates the same across the board. That develops a great work ethic in medical professionals. If they are getting the same amount of pay, regardless of their expertise in a field, what's the incentive to do better, to strive for a higher level? NOTHING.
The American Dream has gone from being able to put in hard work and prosper to winning the lottery or being 'given' something. Our country is broken. We have been prosperous for so many years because we have had the right to choose who we hire, what benefits we pay to employees and how we spend our funds. And, guess what?!?! If, as an employee you didn't like those benefits, you had a RIGHT to work elsewhere.
We have a broken system. Taxing those that are striving to better themselves does not work. You tax a large corporation, let's say Pepsi, and guess what?!?! That takes a large percentage out of their profit. Yes, it affects the CEO's, but it also affects the hundreds of thousands of people they employ. If they can't afford to pay their taxes, job cuts happen.
The American people need to step up and take responsibility for their own actions! As a hard working, middle class, tax paying citizen I can hardly afford to make my own bills. I live well within my means, too. I don't have a fancy car, I don't live in a large house, and I don't have extraordinary things. I pay my bills. I make it. I survive.

Two words... Unfounded lawsuits.

....
This isn't realistic, and the new 'Stimulus' and 'Bailout' are only putting the American people deeper in a hole of debt.
