We all know how hard it is to display your luck in the genetic lottery while posing for a camera. I hope neither of them attempt to chew bubble gum at the same time.
Did the dude in charge of the world time clock at the Naval Observatory get laid off or something? Why is this girl's 15 minutes of fame not up yet? Did anyone see her performance on Letterman? She sung about wanting more money or something... how out of touch can you be with the current economic situation?
The auto industry made it's mistake years ago, when it moved most of its production overseas. They started to produce more overseas, yet still focused on Americans as their primary customers - since Americans will pay more. This has been going on nationwide, company-wide, throughout the last 30 years. All of these companies want to use foreign labor, yet still want to sell to the consumer who will pay the most - Americans. Well, guess what? The bill has become due. There are no longer enough jobs to go around to justify the prices that Americans are accustomed to paying. If you produce in America, your primary target for consumption should be Americans. If you produce overseas, your primary target for consumption should be overseas. These companies wanted to have their cake and eat it too - by producing goods cheaply in foreign countries, and selling to overpriced America. When every company tries to go the same route, this "business plan" suddenly stops working.
These CEOs can't fly commercial because of security reasons? Isn't an airport the most secure place you could possibly be these days?
