I'm actually from Malaysia and there might be different reasons for Avril's "supposed" cancelations. It might due to her songs having too much angst and the more conservative government's worries of her being a bad influence on the younger generation.
Personally, I used to like her when her songs made sense. Now she's screaming nonsense. Cancel her!!
