on The Next President Of The United States Of America is.... Barack Obama at 15:54 11/05/2008 as a reply on the comment by Hael679as per Re: UrMomGoesToCollege – Obama has plans for redistributing money, yes. To things like universal health care (which will effect everyone positively, including yourself!) improving education (that may not ever effect you, but hopefully if you have children it'll help them be smart enough not to share your views!) Incentives for college by insuring the youth volunteers to people in need. My God, the nerve of that man for wanting to instill a sense of respect and responsibility in our youth. The money isn't going to go to people who abuse the system, because he has plans to make that nearly impossible for the system to be abused. OUR money will go to helping people who've lost jobs and housing because of the economy. Bad luck makes you a lazy son of a bitch? Do you know how INCREDIBLY HARD it is to get a decent job right now? One interview and you're up against more than 80 other applicants. Throw in a credit check and if you're an average American you're fucked. I love the hypocrisy of Bible thumpers who get pissed off about the idea of their taxes going to people in need. I guess helping your fellow man isn't high on God's list of values, huh?

I called you a bigot and not a racist because that's what I think you are. I don't think you hate (and go back and actually read the posts. If you still think there's not a disgusting amount of racism going than obviously I'm wrong and you are one), but I think you're just as uninformed as you claim I am on Obama.

on The Next President Of The United States Of America is.... Barack Obama at 15:44 11/05/2008 as a reply on the comment by Hael679There is no way that even if all the minorities voted for Obama for that reason only, that that alone would have been what got him elected. He touched a lot of people and you're belittling that. That's what's pissing people off, and it's not why people are calling you bigoted or a racist. You can say you don't care he's black but it doesn't make it believable. The way you phrased your words belied an underlying issue of bigotry and it's as clear as glass to a majority reading it. And the reason why people are crying racism on this site is because there are and have always been a huge amount of racist assholes on here who are spewing their hatred and threatening lives in their posts. So it's not an over reaction whatsoever when people get pissed off because they want him assasinated,

on The Next President Of The United States Of America is.... Barack Obama at 15:37 11/05/2008I'll take someone who has successfully fought and created programs against poverty, violence, etc. that ACTUALLY WORK and CHANGE lives. Obama knows what and who he is fighting for. That includes you, though you resent it. He knows how to retool things from the bottom up so they're more functional, and because he's a lawyer, he knows the dangers of messing with the constitution and won't dare pass anything to destroy it, no matter what his personal feelings are. That's better than we've got now. He's going to prove you wrong and in four years you still won't like him. You'll have changed your mind about his competency perhaps, but you'll end up hating him more for making your life and your future better and brighter.

on The Next President Of The United States Of America is.... Barack Obama at 15:36 11/05/2008And as to the rest of your argument....I'm tired of people saying Obama has no, or not enough, experience to help our country out of a crisis. In my opinion he's better qualified, certainly, than Bush was, despite the fact that Bush was a governor. The man was a practicing lawyer for how long? You think he doesn't know how to fight to better our laws, or enhance our way of life? People shuck off his community organizing skills as bullshit, but personally I think we should require all of our politicians to help or have helped at the community level. Part of the reasons our social programs don't work, besides the fact that they're put into place by politicians who are always playing games to keep their heads above water, is because these politicians create the rules while having no idea other than in theory, how they function on a day to day level.
