Thanks for picking one of the stronger skits from last night. For some reason, other sites are using the weaker clips.
Taylor did amazingly well for her first time. I LOVED her in the Franks, the roomies, the bad parental driving PSA and the Bunny movie as Shakira. She's got an amazing amount of talent.
Not sure what the recent lobotomy patients posting here have against her mentioning Joe Jonas or Kanye. But I'm pretty sure they'd be complaining she lacked courage if she didn't bring them up. They're idiots.
The real story here is that Carrie SUCKS as a writer.
All the denial in the world doesn't cover up the fact that both these songs are lame and they DO sound alike.
CC is HORRIBLE. It's not country music, it's generic, thin, derivative, artless pop/rock.
Compare this song to just about anything Kelly Clarkson -- who does pop/rock well -- sings, and you can see the difference. CC is juvenile, dated, irrelevant, monotonous pablum.
A real songwriter can turn ordinary events into art.
Carrie's appeal ends after "nice voice, nice girl, pretty woman ... " After that, a complete blank.
She's got no soul, no personality, no story to tell.
I can't believe anyone is fighting over these two songs. They both SUCK.
The main similarity between the two songs is that both are claiming to be country songs, but sound like pop/rock excrement.
Carrie's music has gone downhill since she decided she had to write. She's simply not a talented writer.
Best Carrie can come up with is "sequels." "So Small" was an obvious sequel to "Jesus Take the Wheel." "Last Name" was even marketed as a sequel to "Before He Cheats."
Now it's just getting worse. "Romo Casanova" is HORRIBLE. Who the fuck says "record machine!?!"
Carrie has the best song writers in Nashville at her disposal and this is the crap she comes up with?
I used to think she was a smart girl, but no more. She should just buy songs and make millions, like she did with the first album.
As for being a plagiarist, I see some similarity. I'd love to hear some real experts weigh in, instead of Carrie's obnoxious fans.
My guess is that Carrie's simply going to buy the other girl's silence anyway.

The hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper and deeper.
