I am just sad at the fact that we as a group (Gay and Lesbian) can gather together with everyone else and make there dreams a reality. In turn we are given the preverbal knife in the back. Prop 8 is a sad statement made by the people of California in a time in which all should rejoice in a time of great accomplishment. Being a Latino it especially is hurtful to hear that this Prop may have been passed by a majority of Latino and Black votes. Two groups which have been struggling with equality issues for generations. It is a happy day for some and for others a time of worry about our futures in this society.
