First of all, WHY is Perez Hilton a judge for ANY pageant? He knows ZERO about what work goes into this women, nor does he have ANY idea what Miss USA is actually all about. He just saw this as an opportunity to get a bit more air time for himself.
Now for the actual issue at hand. He didn't respect that she provided an honest answer. He only wanted to hear ONE answer and fully intended to ruin her chances at winning IF she didn't answer the way he wanted. The funniest part of this is that she is Miss California, which if you remember correctly, voted CLEARLY that they were AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE. Is she not the representative of her state? Looks like she truly is the voice of the majority too, at least in her state! The whole world has gotten so caught up in political correctness that they aren't even allowing people to have their own opinions or points of view.
This is sad for several reasons, but Miss California can still hold her head high knowing that she gave an honest answer to a question that was INTENDED to set her up!
