Give me break about this double standards crap. Janet Jackson's career never fully recovered after her wardrobe malfunction on network TV, and Madonna's was talked about for years about her "shocking" antics until it just got predictable and people got used to it. However, except for Janet, most of the stuff that happened with women to which Adam is comparing himself happened on MTV and/or other cable networks. It's a different matter when the FFC is breathing down your neck. It's also one thing to want to be shocking, but being shocking for the sake of being shocking isn't really shocking at all, is it? Also, is Adam willing to participate in the fallout afterward with ABC, or is he just going to shrug it off and walk away from it? I'm a gay man, so I don't have a problem with m2m action or PDA. I just felt his actions were contrived, forced, and served as a distraction for an otherwise mediocre performance. "Caught up in the moment..." whatever!
I think we as spectators at a concert have gotten spoiled by concerts. We get bored if someone just stands there and sings. Now it has to be flashing lights, fireworks, dazzling stage effects, tight choreography with tens of dancers on stage. If that's your form of entertainment, that's fine, I'm not hating on it, but I miss the intimacy with the audience with those kind of shows. The artists I care about--I could care less if they could dance. Just put on a great live show with some great stories behind the songs. As far as Britney, perhaps she can't sing & dance at the same as other artists are able to (although I believe most of the ones people claim are able to are really singing to a safety track). But her songs aren't created to be sung live anyway. They're mostly studio creations with layers of vocals and magic production techniques.
" what gay fans.gay ppl love madonna.madonna is the gay symbol always" Madonna is not the first gay icon. She's not the only gay icon. She's not even the ultimate gay icon. People are going to like artists before and after Madonna...
You idiot. Lady Gaga could say the word "the" and you'd think she was copying Madonna. FYI, when Madonna was Gaga's age (23), that was 1981, and she wasn't even a blip on the radar yet. She didn't become worldwide famous until she was 26. Actually Gaga' songs/album have done well in Europe. Stop making up stuff to serve your ass-kissing Madonna agenda. PS. Madonna wasn't nominated for best new artist either. She didn't even win a real proper Grammy until the 90s.
I saw Joan Jett (w/ the Blackhearts) play live this past summer, and she rocked it and looked better than a lot of musicians half her age. Amazing performer.
