Virginia Tech is a wonderful loving community full of Hokie spirit. We all stand together. We have had some tragedies in the past few years but that does not make VT a unsafe place. This could happen anywhere, in fact it has happened at other places, people just seem to only see the VT tragedies. We are not cowards and we stand tall to protect those around us. There are many heroes from these tragedies and so many forget about them. Thank you for recognizing these lives lost. Pray for the families of not only these two victims, but also those of the 32 lost 4.16.2007. I just graduated and I would never change going to Tech, there is no community like the community of Blacksburg.

I live in the freaking bible belt... and every day at 11am they play his stupid broadcast... I had no fucking idea who he was until I moved here. He's a moron and with people in the world like him we will never make in progress in equality for all. People need to stop being so ignorant and selfish... let people be HAPPY!

Way to go Perez! That guy is an idiot who contradicted himself over and over. This country was built on equality and now we are denying men and women who are only different from us based on sexuality the right to marry who they love. Religion should not have even been mentioned in that... civil marriage is very different than religious marriage. And the whole defining a person by there sex is so naive. Just because someone is a woman that does not make them a good mother and just because someone is a male that does not make them a bad role model or care giver. People need to get over themselves and accept people for who they are. Everyone deserves the SAME rights!
