They're speaking of the Democratic Republic of Congo... not Congo. Two separate countries. My partner has worked in Congo and its quite civilized. But regardless it is a terrible thing. And its a terrible thing if you in the US are not aware of whats happening, as its all over the news in the UK. All I can say is if you want to know... educate yourself. The information is there, just read/watch the news... you have the internet so it doesn't limit yourself to only your national news.
