She does have a point, but I don't know. At some points in the documentary, Brit seemed too sad and fragile to be doing all this shit again, but sometimes the only time she seemed happy and smiliing were when she on the video set around people, or dancing. It's hard to say...
And people are so fucking mean. How come no one ever calls out Janet Jackson or Beyonce for lip-synching or at least singing to a backing track? And Christina SO lip-synched at the MTV Video Music Awards. No one points out anybody but Britney though. I've seen performances of Britney where you could hear her real voice over the backing track and on SNL, she definitely sang live.
Whatever. It's like all other pop stars get away with at least half of what Brit gets criticized for.
First of all, I don't know that Britney's comment was a swipe at Kevin. Maybe she was just talking about what the next man in her life needs to be like. And even if it was a swipe at Kevin, I think it's his turn after all the swipes at Britney.
Have we forgotten that he was viewed as deadbeat dad who was never around and always off partying and spending Britney's money before the divorce? Are we forgetting how MUCH people wanted her to dump his sorry ass? And then suddenly when she has a breakdown, he becomes dad of the tear...while everyone is watching. How convenient.
That said, it can't be denied that he did step it up...but if you read between the lines of some things Britney said in that documentary, part of her trauma and breakdown had to do with things that Kevin put her through-- she just didn't say what. All her problems began when he entered her life.
She can say whatever the fuck she wants about that loser-- regardless of whether she's been perfect or not. She's been battered to a pulp, but is taking responsibility for it now, and I think she should get to finger-point a bit. Britney didn't just become crazy by herself. She had help from many people around her.
