Hey, take some solace from Jethro Tull...'too old to rock & roll but still too young to die'. Relax and stop being such a snob. Try telling the truth. Admit that you are just too tired to carry on what you started. Don't think that the peace and love gimmick makes it all better. The way you presented your stoppage of communication was a slap in the face of all the people that for some reason, found entertainment from your craft.
Unfortunately, your mild little rant will stick in the minds of the public and your fans more than any of your songs, performances, groups or records. That's a pretty lousy way to go out. Shame. I'll bet there are two lads that are turning in their graves right about now. Perhaps you owe them something other than what you have done.
