Howard is always claiming people are ripping off his ideas. Most of those claims are B.S. but Leno really is an unoriginal hack. His "green car challenge" is a total rip-off of Top Gear U.K. and their "star in a reasonably priced car" bit. Leno is an admitted fan of that show, as well.
The article should point out that only stupid people will get a virus from downloading the Harry Potter movie. They're just using a popular keyword to spread malware using tried and true tactics. In all likelihood, the people who get infected have no experience downloading copyrighted materials. If they did, they would know where to go to get it - minus malware.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Dreamhost that did the squatting. Someone else simply registered the domain and set the page up through their service. They are a pretty popular hosting company. She and her lawyers probably figured they could score more money from Dreamhost than the person who actually grabbed the domain.
Dreamhost already took the page down and transferred the domain to her law firm, according to the WHOIS lookup.
Yeah, it's a bummer but it's probably due to budget cuts. A lot of shows will be seeing this sort of thing before production starts up for next season. Dumping non-critical characters is the easiest way of reducing costs.
Fridge's production got moved from New York to Vancouver in order to save dough, as well.
