I am a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka Mormons). Please get your facts straight before you go discriminating and making generalizations. There is a great site, mormon.org, where you can learn about our basic beliefs. It breaks my heart that Perez is all about "equality" and "tolerance"....but when it comes down to it he is promoting hate against others. The church itself is not donating money to Yes on 8. Members, of their own free will, are donating because they believe marriage is between a man and a woman. Under California Family Code Section 297.5, members of domestic partnerships have the same rights and privileges that married couples do. So the real issue here is changing the definition of marriage. It is not about hate. It is about protecting the institution of marriage. Please become educated before you spread misinformed generalizations around. Yes on 8!
