I don't think the point is that she raised prices, buy how ridiculous the prices have always been. I go to lots and lots of concerts but I think the most I've ever paid was ~$40. Actually, that's not including all day festivals [read: HFStival], which cost ~$60, but that's covering for 40 bands. On average I spent about $20 per ticket. I don't see what this fascination with theatrics is. I'd rather just see 5 people on stage making real music than 30 people dancing and 1 pretending they aren't singing over a recorded track.
Of course she'd make that much money. What do you expect when tickets are $50-$200 and she only really plays arenas? God forbid she sets reasonable prices. It's like the whole 'highest grossing film' crap. Of course you're making more money, tickets are three times more expensive than they were in the 70's.
