Oh BTW, mall security says they let people in because it was raining. Boo Fucking Hoo. I'll still go see the movie, this had no affect on my feeling towards the book or the actors in the movie. Just the southwest suburbs of Chicago.
And don't go back to the mall for the f-ing Q & A. Don't give the city of Orland Park or the Orland park mall any more of your time or money.
ok here was the run down for all of you talking about shit you dont know...
The mall security stated the day before the event that they would kick anyone off the property for loitering if they arrived before 5AM the date of the event. Hot Topic said when called that they would open their doors to start selling wristbands at 7:30AM. Sometime between 10:00 pm (when i called) and 11:00 pm, mall security and Hot Topic decided to start letting people in at 12:00AM
MY question for all of you is...how did all those people know to be there so early? How did those people get informed to be there when the doors opened at midnight instead of 5AM?
Don't get me wrong. I came home, went back to sleep, turned off my phone and am moving on with my day. This has nothing to do with Rob Pattinson himself. He had absolutely nothing to do with the signing. Hot Topic and Orland Park Mall should apologize to those of us who followed directions and showed up to avoid rioting. That 10% coupon some sales ASSociate from HT tried to hand me only good for today, only good at THEIR store really blew too by the way.
WAIT WAIT WAIT! I was there this morning too, Ashley. I feel your pain, we probably ran into each other.
To the people saying that we are desperate and got what we deserved...perhaps. However, did anyone there in Chicago today, notice what all the people looked like that were leaving the mall, the people that received wrist bands? They looked like employees of Hot Topic. It was clearly an inside job. I called my mall today to see if anyone was at my Hot Topic today and a manager answered saying they were on their way back from getting wrist bands.
Oh, and to the mothers who were there with wristbands...is it absolutely necessary that you get Rob Pattinson's Autograph? Perhaps some of you are really fans of his (creepy), but for the rest of us teen-twenty somethings, we were SOL.
Hot Topic should be ashamed of themselves. Not that i would ever want to shop at that dirty, goth/emo filled cutting fest, but sending out a mass phone call to all of your shops within a 40 mile sucks.
Oh and to the mother who said her daughter was depressed and sitting in the car, fast forward that comment an hour later to her saying her daughter was in critical condition and in the hospital...and then got in when threatening to call the police...i applaud you. fuck them like they fucked us.
