Propofol is not just used for IV sedation. It *can* also be used recreationally. Propofol is a very interesting drug that has many uses... it can be used for both long-term and short-term sedation, and even though it isn't an analgesic like morphine, for example, it's sedative-like properties can cause a euphoric effect. So yes, it is possible that MJ abused propofol.
