Please, please, please look outside your bubble. You can be personally grossed out by us. But this is supposed to be America, the land of the free -- we just want basic freedom. And this is NOT an issue to say "it won, get over it," because if that were the case, Obama would still be a motherfucking slave! It is ABSOLUTELY important for people to fight for equal rights until they get them. Please, try to have some respect! Understanding! Tolerance for difference!
It's kind of hilarious how much you all need to get a life if you're actually threatened by gay people. Like, wow, a girly man, for example, is THREATENING or harmful to you? Ha, must not be able to take care of your own girl too well! But I will continue to go to protests to fight for YOUR rights, too... I just wish you all would do the same for us in the gay community. This is about people who are BORN loving the same gender, just like you were born loving the opposite gender. As a gay female I can say this confidently. I am not choosing to like girls, and I do not think it's "cool" to do so. I can remember liking girls as early as 5 years old. Please try to look at this from a factual standpoint... no one can stop you from feeling grossed out if you see two people of the same gender holding hands. But can you understand that just because you disagree with a culture doesn't mean you should take away their rights? I would understand COMPLETELY if gay marriage somehow harmed you... but it does not. In any tangible way whatsoever. It's good for the economy, it's supportive of love... you're just old-fashioned and cannot get behind the idea that people are finally starting to be accepted for being gay. I'm a productive member of society and I'm not going around setting buildings on fire or doing anything that indicates I'm "possessed by demons" as many who are intolerant of homosexuality may think.
I was there! We are NOT going away, and we WILL get our equal, deserved rights... if not today, then soon enough.
To anyone saying that gay individuals should not be able to get married, I have two things to say:
1. Your reasoning is absurd, people like "rolo," because if that were the case, with marriage being solely a derivative of the Bible, then only Christians would be able to marry, and this is NOT the case.
2. Get the fuuuuuuck off PerezHilton.com if you're homophobic! Uh, did you ever notice that he's gay? Don't enjoy the fruits of our labor and then dismiss us, hypocrites.
