Two guys kissing...whatever, that's fine. The crotch grabbing and stimulated oral sex--with any combination of genders--is what I find disgusting. People don't want sexuality shoved in their face any more than you or I want other peoples biases and religious beliefs shoved in ours. I just don't understand why Perez would defend someone who's actions are going to hurt the Gay movement. If you want people to stop inequality, don't insult them. Put out people like Ellen and Neil Patrick Harris who are likable and make their sexuality a non-issue, like it should be.
It's not super original. Plus, it's Chris that's going to make people want to see the documentary, not the subject matter. Frankly, he could do a documentary on paint drying and I would still see it.
Of the many people who helped Anne Frank and her family, only one was sent to a concentration camp, and he survived. In fact, the main helper is still alive and turned 100 a few months ago. Also, haven't you heard the quote: "one million deaths is a statistic, 1 death is a tragedy"? It's a way for kids that age to relate to someone, and realize that the holocaust victims were real people.
