The Madonna kiss happened on a cable network known for airing content that can be considered questionable -- MTV.
And the most recent "female performance," on a similar level (not on cable and sexual in nature) would probably more accurately be Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's booby-gate... and that got censored and fines were charged, etc.
Adam Lambert would have to be dumb to not know that there's a difference between performing on MTV and CBS, firstly. And secondly, it's all for publicity -- his performance was meant to be controversial because we're still talking about it. So... it's certainly not as creative as a Kermit the Frog dress, but it's intention seems to be the same - to get people talking.
I just thought I'd point out that the term is "the whole kit and caboodle," not, "kitten caboodle." "Kitten caboodle," as a phrase, doesn't really make sense (unless, and it is possible, you were going for a pun with the term, "kitten" as it relates to female body parts) albeit, it is a common mistake.
It seems pretty shallow that the fact that this guy is homosexual equates to being a "spiritual hero," versus the other guy being super bad for not endorsing gay marriage. What about... I don't know... how well they communicate their Biblical understanding or even just the love of Jesus to their respective congregations? I know there are some people who are vested in fighting vehemently about the issue and I understand the vehemence on both sides, but give it a rest. It's an inauguration. Strikes me that the choice of officiants be that of the person involved in it -- much like most people choose the priest or minister who performs a baptism.
It seems pretty silly that you're a defender of the rights of gay folks to marry -- allowing gay people to declare their love by making a choice to marry a person of their own gender -- and then you spread rumors like this one that express an attitude of "despite this man's public choice to marry a woman he's so clearly homosexual." Do you spread rumors that gay actors/actress who are actively in gay relationships are straight?
