Statistics have proven that citizens of countries with social health care live longer than American citizens. What about the people who CAN'T work due to illness? They never get ahead because they are constantly being pushed back down. What about the elderly citizens? They can't afford high insurance premiums and they tend to need more medical care. Do they have to make a choice between selling their home to pay doctors bills or keeping it so they have a nice home to die in? In effect, it would be no different than it is now except you don't go into debt every time you go to the doctor. You pay a monthly premium and that is the end of it. Hmmm, I can see where that seems like a bad idea ... maybe it should be kept as is and I'll just remortgage my house if I get sick and my insurance company won't approve the necessary procedure. I hope that the youth of America realizes they are going to be old one day and will need health care ... oh wait, never mind ... American's don't live that long anyway!

People really need to educate themselves on this subject. I find it completely offensive when people start mouthing off about health care in other countries. You don't know the first thing about it so how can you possibly comment on it! I also find it interesting that you don't think you have "the right" to health care. So if you, your spouse, your children, your family come down with a terrible ailment you don't think you have the right to treatment without being gouged for thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars? I LOVE my health care system and would rather shoot myself than accept a system such as yours. I can go into any ER, hospital, clinic, etc. in the entire country and receive the health care I'm entitled to!! No one profits off of my sickness!!! There is no cashiers desk waiting to take my payment! I simply hand over my "care card" and I'm all good. Statistic's have proven that people in countries with socialized medical systems have longer life expectancies than those without ... yes, that would be you! Don't knock it until you have tried it. And try to remember who is paying for all those ads against health care reform ... they stand to lose a lot of your hard earned money!

I can't believe you are STILL going on about this ... she was right, the old wrinkled opinionated men were wrong!! Castro & Hitler were brilliant men!! You can't argue it!! They weren't the nicest people, but being mean and hateful has NOTHING to do with intellectual capacity. Read a fucking book already ... may I suggest Mein Kampf.

How ridiculous is this story? I'm floored at how blown out of proportion it has become. I agree with her, they were brilliant men. That doesn't mean the freaking world agrees with their politics, actions or decisions. It is an undisputable fact that they were both highly intelligent men ... aka brilliant. I don't see how acknowledging a fact promotes hate. Let this story go already!!!
