It was a day of mourning for many of us in Maine. If you look at the results, the folks who live along the coast voted overwhelmingly to Protect Marriage Equality. However the religious zealots (who hate everyone) & less educated folks of western maine where taken in by the hateful commercials that were funded by the Catholic Church - don't forget that the Catholic Church supported Hitler. The ads were awful and filled with lies. FYI - it took the Supreme Court to legalize interracial marriage, and that didn't happen until 1967. Civil Rights should not be left up to the individual states or the voters, as they have shown us time and time again, they can not be trusted to do what is right and moral. The Catholic Church poured close to a million dollars into this campaign - TIME TO TAX THE CHURCHES!!!!!!!!
The MIB movies are special to us - when I was in early labor with my daughter I took the advice that I give to my patients and went to see a light-hearted movie. We sat in the back row close to the isle and door - I would lean on the empty seat in front of me when I would experience a contraction. I sat on a folded up beach towel just in case my water broke - it didn't. No one in the theatre knew that I was in early labor and I was able to be in an air conditioned building - MIB came out in during a heat wave in July of 97 - and it allowed me an opportunity to relax and laugh, knowing that this was the last movie we would see in a theatre for quite a while.
Does it really matter? Do you really care? As someone who turned 48 yesterday - I can believe that she naturally looks her age - that is what we look like these days. It is called drinking water and exercising, aka having a healthy lifestyle.
It is amazing how good a person can look when they wear control top panty hose, a wig, a mask, 6 inch platform heels and are heavily photoshopped. For all we know this could be Ellen Degeneres or Oprah...
She looks awesome - confident, smiling and happy. And the beautiful thing is - she doesn't give a damn about what some lowly queen and his consorts think. Go Diane - you are an inspiration!
