on Dying Jade: It's "Critical" Now, Priest Visits Goody at 21:11 03/16/2009I never watched the show. Maybe that is why I think it is disgusting how they are making this like a soap opera? It is morbid and grotesque.

on Rihanna & Chris Brown: Together Again!!! WTF???? at 12:07 02/28/2009 as a reply on the comment by CrackaJackFirst let me preface this by saying that it is not intended to be racist at all but I had to laugh at your comment. Simply because all of my African American friends (and some that I don't really know that well) are really surprised at this turn of events and have told me the same thing - "no black woman would ever put up with that mess." They don't acknowledge the cycle of violence and how women would stay. They just hold the position that 'if he hits you once, get out'. Not that I disagree with that at all, mind you. And I am not saying that all African Americans feel this way but the people in my region of the country certainly seem to. On the other hand, while most of my white friends understand the cycle of violence and are aware that women often return to their abusers, etc., there are a few that have made ignorant comments that she "deserves it" for going back. I totally disagree with that point of view, regardless of race. But I thought it was kind of an interesting dynamic between the two cultures, no?

on Rihanna & Chris Brown: Together Again!!! WTF???? at 11:54 02/28/2009And you are surprised why? If you had done your research, you would know that victims leave their abusers an average of seven times before leaving for good. Sometimes, they get to leave - for good - alive. Sometimes not. O.J. and Nicole anybody? Plus, on a professional level, they have to at least appear to have gotten past this. Both have far too much invested to be saddled with this for lengthy periods of time. Their management isn't stupid.
