having studied linguistics, i don't 100% buy it, though it is a really interesting observation. samantha's post uses the hyphen as a verbal pause whereas lindsay uses it in place of a comma totally... if you read the two posts aloud, they sound very different. i think its more rational that lindsay dictated and samantha wrote-- overall samantha's has a different fluidity. i also think its a little farfetched to suggest that samantha broke onto lindays myspace, wrote a blogpost and didn't expect her to figure it out. they do live together. and since the blog post on lindsays is still up, it kinda seems like, whether or not she physically wrote it, she definitely meant it.

good job for missing the point of what i was saying. i'm not making a claim to know her personally, so thats irrelevant. and i do know the lawsuit since its been well publicized many places, HERE most notably. she did lose the lawsuit for a reason-- her attorneys couldn't prove malicious intent which is necessary to prove defamation. i don't know anything about her, all i am saying is that its a little arrogant to call that lawsuit frivolous since it was lost on a very debatable point. so it'd be great if you'd learn a little about law and shut up.

Obviously you have first amendment rights, but they only extend so far. It wasn't at all-- though you were within your first amendment rights, she was also within her rights for defending herself against libelous claims. Think of how many young people read your website-- post as many links to "XYZ country this is awful for gay rights!" you want, but when kids read, on the very next post words bashing Samantha and Lindsay for not being verbal about their relationship-- shit.
