I've commented on two of your blog posts stating that there should be an apology from your side. Everything does happen for a reason, and I can only respect someone who is willing to admit that he is wrong about certain behaviour and apologize on his behalf.
Violence is never the answer and it isn't right that you got hit by the Manager. Of course proper action has been taken (the police report, and charges being filed) so all the best with your case.
I can't believe you are actually advertising this. It's nice that it's getting out there, but it's horrible how you have yet to apologize for using the word. It doesn't matter if you were in that situation, it still does NOT give you the right (just like the manager had to right to use violence) to use such derogatory terms especially when you claim to be an advocate for gay rights.
You were wrong, and you need to apologize before you attend this gathering.
