I totally agree with you. It was her way of dealing with a painful question on TV. Also, I know many people from S America,and there is nothing culturally acceptable about rape there. Rape is rape (not rape-rape) - a repulsive violation anywhere in the world, even if the woman reacts funny publicly. In some muslim countries they are stoned to death because it's "their" fault. It's still a violent crime,regardless of the neanderthal laws of those disgusting countries.
