I have been watching and reading the news reports of Mrs. Obama and I just love it. I realized I had a huge smile on my face after I was finished listening to one commentary. Mrs. Obama is a representation of America that we all can be proud of at the moment - to finally have (again) a first lady that posesses style, graciousness, and demonstrated intelligence is fabulous and much welcomed.
I love it!!!!...so refreshing....as much a risk as I think she could take...but a stand out among usually blah dresses that former first ladies have worn.
This is not the first time he has violated his bond. The first incident was a few weeks back when he shoved an officer from the county sheriff's office while they were trying to serve a subpeona related to the shady dealings Kwamee has made with his friends and family. This is the second time; going over the United States border to Canada (albeit it is only across the water) to try to revive a deal that will cost the city an asset (the Tunnel to Canada), but provide a temporary way to continue to pay for his friends and family in various positions of authority in the city and award more contracts to them.
The rumor in Detroit right now is that he will be arraigned on criminal charges for assulting the officer (another felony) tomorrow by the state's attorney general. I've seen the inside of Wayne County Jail. It is disguesting and dirty. I would not wish it on anyone to stay there for a night. However, maybe the spotlight that his stay is throwing on Detroit will encourage all of us here to stand up and get this guy out of office.
I should know. I live and work in the D.
