on Octo-Mom Comes Out Of Hiding! at 11:49 02/14/2009Realistically, there probably isn't a job she could get that would pay enough to support all of them, is there? She's still going to need help, like free daycare. Let's see, daycare in a center for 14 kids, 8 of them infants, would cost at least $2800 per week, unless she hires a couple people to come to her house. That would probably be the way to go. Two people, full-time, $8-$10 per hour, with benefits, would probably cost her less than half that much. So, she should budget $4,000 per month for daycare. Food and diapers, harder to figure, I'd guess $1,000 minimum, probably closer to $2,000. Doctors' bills will be ridiculous, although she'll probably get government help for that. So, she needs a job with take home pay in the neighborhood of $6,000 to $10,000 per month. $10,000 might give her a little she could save for, you know, college and stuff, like a home and a huge van/bus.

on Police Investigating Death Threats at 17:27 02/13/2009For the sake of the children, maybe it's time to stop bashing Octo-mom. She needs all the confidence she can muster right now. Even six kids is a lot to handle and they need her at her best. Hurting her is only hurting the children. You can criticize however much you want, but it produces nothing but pain. I know you'd like to have your own children. As a gay single man, you will be harshly criticized also. Don't you just want to love a child. People are motivated to have children, each of us to a different degree. Maybe you should offer to help her with the kids. I bet once you meet the six little ones she has with her now, your heart will melt and you won't be able to blame her for wanting more. You could spend the day with them. It would be great publicity and you would be seen as an ambassador of sorts. As a mother, aside from her lack of financial skills, I thought she seemed pretty sane. I've only got two kids and I thought she spoke very well given the circumstances.

on Completely Gratuitous at 13:35 12/31/2008What the heck's wrong with George's upper lip? Not feeling himself? I hope it's not due to artificial causes.

on In Case You Missed It... at 13:20 12/31/2008Beyonce made me cry! Bitch! I didn't know she could sound that good. When Beyonce came out, Barbra scooted forward in anticipation. And when she was done, Barbra had a real smile on her face. She was clearly pleased. Beyonce even styled herself appropriately, evoking the sense she could almost be Barbra. Ne-Yo did a great job, too.
