I was slightly excited to hear a cover of Metallica's Unforgiven... the opening was exciting, the mournful tones, the ominous church bell... but as soon as she starts singing, it turns into an Ace of Bass-wannabe techno song! It completely lacks the pain and depth of the original. One of the most meaningful things about the original is the way its sung, simply, but with complex emotions. This version... she's not singing the words, she's not expressing the pain. She's singing to be heard. To glorify herself. One could argue the autobiographical value of the original song, words expressing the original artists' pain in dealing with depression and self-loathing. Without that experience, without that first hand knowledge of what its like to be beaten down, to feel worthless, to be willing to end your life... you cannot give justice to this song. this is a terrible cover that tries to make Unforgiven up-beat and poppy. The entire intent of the original is missing in this, I don't even want to call it a 'version' it's so far off from the original.
