We need to spend our energy overcoming hate in this world...not love. With a divorce rate as high as it is how can anyone believe marriage is sacred.? If people did truly believe that, wouldn't we stick to our vows? I know more long term gay couples than straight ones... because once they find real acceptance and love they hang on to it...even if there isn't a legal document holding them to it....thats love...and THAT should be honored , not by religion..but by government and the general human race. Is it really so naive to believe we can get there people???

The fact that you used ignorant in a sentence with one of the most ignorant and derogatory comments really presents quite the oxymoronic statment on your behalf. It's called freedom of speech people, i thought america was all about freedoms....but i'm canadian so what do I know?
