Its a bad sign when the franchise follows the box office take pattern the POTC film did.. i.e the third takes less (a lot less) than the second (or first). The matrix also did it, as did Spiderman and Shrek. It means they werent that good and the public lost interest. Few Trilogies manage improvement, Lord of the Rings was one of the few.
DONT make a forth POTC it will take less than the first i can guarantee it. The third was overblown trash, and no one cares any more.
