on BSB's Son Diagnosed With Kawasaki Disease at 10:24 12/22/2008Perez I'm so glad you're reporting this and taking it seriously. When you first mentioned it the other day I thought for sure you'd make fun of it since, lets face it, the BSB aren't exactly haveing a stellar career since they're reunion a few years ago. Nonetheless, Brian is such a sweet, loving guy and I'm sure he and Leighanne are really torn up about this, especially given Brian's history of heart disease. They're a beautiful family with an adoreable son and I hope he gets better soon!!

on $85 Billion Bailout at 10:16 09/17/2008First of all, this post is a PERFECT exemplification of why Perez needs to be mroe careful about his political postings. ...I LOVE that people here are rushing to blame George Bush or Congress for the bailout. Clearly there's no understanding of how the FED works/its structure. Beyond that though, all these concerns for the "common man" and "regular citizens" noble as they are, are pretty blind to the fact that even though these people might not have investments in AIG or any overtly obvious stake in AIG/its multitude of subsidiaries(which are in industries outside of insurance and finance), AIG is the nation's largest insurance company, and one of the largest in the world. A fact which of course, makes everyone automatically say "but I have a difference insurance plan" I was watching a report on MSNBC yesterday where they very correctly said that despite it's size, most American had never heard of AIG.... A fact that matters very little b/c at the end of the day, familiar with it or not, its collapse would effect every single person/house hold. Immensely. Sort of in the same way even though not everyone had a subprime mortgage we're all dealing with the fall out. Except that the failure of AIG in the US as well as throughout the world would have such a far reaching economic effect it'd be ridiculous. And scary to picture.

on What Is John McCain Scared Of? at 10:26 09/03/2008The question itself wasn't inapprorpriate, but things def got heated between Tucker and Campbell Brown and it was pretty contentious and awk. Tucker obcs didn't have a legit answer to the question.. And I love that Perez didn't post the initial interview so that everyone could come to their own decision. Either way, I wish Perez would focus less on politics on this site, or at least if hes going to report on it, don't do it in a stupidly inappropriate and hugely biased way that misrepresents facts or bolsters every crazy unsubstantiated rumor.... Posting photo-shopped pictures without labeling them as such is misleading..I'm tired of seeing him do crap like that, and then have people respond with posts like "wow now I'm not going to vote for her". Theres plenty of other legitimate reasons to decide who you should vote for....letting Perez's fake pictures and impartial reasoning make up your mind for you is sad.

on The Backlash Has Begun at 21:12 08/20/2008He's promoting frosted flakes and regular corn flakes as well. He WAS on a Wheaties box after Athens, but then they revoked his deal after his DUI arrest. Which makes me wonder if they reached out to him again, and if they did how that convo must have gone lol. Either way, who cares? He has repeatedly said he wants to promote the sport of swimming and make it more visible (other then when its time for the Olympics) and appearing on a cereal box kids actually eat is more in line with that goal then Wheaties.
